- Ellingham Employment Services Limited is a vocational and supported employment provision for people who have a learning disability and who are seeking paid open/supported valued employment. Part- and full-time employment placements are found for people who have been successful in a range of training and work experience courses. Ellingham Employment Services is a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity in England and Wales. The post of Employment Consultant, which is subject to an annual contract in line with all staff within the organisation, is part of a growing and dedicated team, and offers an exciting opportunity for the postholder. Part of Ellingham’s funding comes from contracts with DWP under Access to Work Support Worker Services & Work Choice Programmes, under the lead of the Prime Contractor for East London, Working Links. These contracts enable us to support people with a wide range of disabilities. We have also recently been awarded a subcontract for the Work Programme, under the Prime Contractor CDG. This post is to assist the Manager, Employment Programmes in this growing area of vocational services offered to people with disabilities who are referred to Ellingham from East London. The post will combine employment preparation & job searching training with job matching, employer engagement & support in the workplace in conjunction with the close staff team in order to enable a person with disabilities enter or maintain employment. All services are tailored to the individual needs of the learner with disabilities. The postholder must therefore practice a flexible working approach, which may involve flexibility of hours (within reason), for which full notice will be given. This post will be subject to CRB check The postholder will operate from Ellingham’s Employment Agency in Leytonstone & Ilford, as well as travelling to employers & outreach sites.

The post of Employer Engagement Consultant is part of a growing and dedicated team of Employment Consultants whose role is to meet the targets of the DWP Work Programme (Work Programme & Work Choice) contracts in preparing and placing people with disabilities into long-term sustained employment (16+ hrs pw), and offers an exciting opportunity for the post holder. This post is subject to an annual contract in line with all staff within the organisation and will be subject to CRB check. The post holder will operate from Ellingham’s Head Office in Leytonstone & Bourne Court Office in Ilford, as well as travelling to employers & outreach sites across East London/South Essex.
