To mark Learning Disability Awareness Month, London's Tate Modern presented a showcase of artwork made by adults with learning disabilities in order to spotlight the creative abilities of individuals and groups who responded to the theme The Beauty of Life.

A group of artists from I Can Ventures took part in workshops held at The Junction in Leytonstone and prepared amazing pieces of work using a variety of mediums.  The Mayor of Waltham Forest, Cllr. Chris Robbins judged the event and I Can Ventures were fortunate to have 5 pieces of art work chosen to be displayed for one day at the Tate Modern.

            

One of the pieces - produced on wood and depicting our clients in activities -  received the “Best Public vote”.

A large group traveled to London to see the work which will be displayed at our Autumn craft fair for all our carers to see.
